My super summer!

This last summer is definitely one of the best summers I've had. I've been to a lot of places with different sets of people: friends, family, orgmates, blockmates. (and yes, nakakapagod siya. haha. dora mode kung dora). With people and places, there's also food! that i am having extra problems burning those excess calories :p And aside from the many places and the yummy food which gave me more reasons to love our beautiful country, all the experiences definitely made me learn a lot of things as well. :) I've postponed writing about this super summer, because it would mean that the fun and the sun would really really be over, but if I really want this to be a summer that I won't forget then writing about it before the first OS exam this Friday must be done. :p April 1, 2012 - Andie's 3rd Birthday! Bulacan Even before the compre is through, I attended my inaanak's 3rd birthday swimming pool party at Bulacan. The first of the many swimming that I had this ...

earning money - not easy.

Being a medical student entails a lot of sacrifice. saying no to college or even high school friends gimiks not because you don't want to but because you just cant. not joining your family for a celebratory dinner or a movie because you have to stay near school. and we're not talking of just a few years. being a medical student, training to become a medical doctor is a life long learning that you must learn to adapt and manage your time, whatever is left of it anyway. I guess one of the most difficult things about being a medical student is seeing all your other batch mates earn their money and spend it on things they want. I'm lucky to have parents who support me and give me things i need and sometimes even those which i just want, but i sometimes can't help myself but feel envious of friends who are starting to become financially stable on their own.  As a person, I think I tend to spend a lot. I guess the girl in me really likes to shop a lot and buy things I...

farewell tambayan, farewell :)

today, we said goodbye to our tambayan - my second home for 3 years, and my org\'s home for 30 years (out of the 83). Being a member of this organization definitely made my college life exciting. My experiences with this organization gave me the best memories to look back to.

more ramblings from a medical student.

if you think that all medical students are responsible, well you're wrong. In a group of 20, i can count with my fingers the number of people who have the initiative to do things; there could be those who may need a little push while some don't really care at all, yes, DONT really care at all. and that is just so frustrating especially since you thought that high school and college days of doing what should be group reports turning into individual reports are over. sometimes i ask myself why i do what i do. why im being overly responsible when others dont really seem to care at all. then i get my answer with another sad question, of who's going to do it anyway? it's always the same people and it's unfair. well maybe, it's not that they are not responsible, maybe they just have a different set of priorities. because they know that other people would do things for them and once again, they are saved. but then again, it's unfair. and this kind of system h...

all work and no play makes me a terrible writer

i feel that something is terribly wrong but i can't pinpoint exactly what, and it's a very very annoying feeling that i've finally decided to re-open my quite dormant blog and speak my heart and/or mind out, whatever is in either or both of them.  it's been exactly a month since my not-announced blogging hiatus. I've been busy this past month, with the toxic subjects being taken these last few months of the school year, the piling requirements, the finals and compre scare, and the organization elections, i barely have time to think about what to write and to actually write even if i don't think. until today when i felt awkwardly weird, having a bit of sadness, weakness, and the feeling of just wanting to lie down in bed and do nothing. although i tried to go out to see people i love to uplift my mood, but i went home with almost little success. i chose me time in going home and i listened to lovely songs, only to find myself stuck in traffic for about an hour....

Life Lesson #52: Try new things :)

Apart from being the weight and figure conscious person that i've become (yes yes i know it's not nice, but i've gained 4klos since my 50klo weight during college and i am not yet ready to see the plus 10lbs me. :p), i've tried various ways to keep myself fit and burn those fats turning into flabs. :p I've tried running, in fact, i've had around 5 5k marathons and im thinking of doing the 10k this coming March (still no training yet :p) i've also tried swimming, buying swimsuits i can wear on the pool without revealing too much and goggles that i can use in doing laps :p I also got myself a copy of the hiphop abs, which i have not yet used but something i am looking forward to (hopefully in the weekend) :p and the newest thing i've tried.. YOGA! :) I've been thinking about joining since the start of the year as it will also be a nice alternative for running (especially since i always get lazy jogging outside). And finally, i was able to attend a...

a great day for the heart ♥

every year we are blessed with one day to fully express our love to the people who are dear to us without judgement from others (because every couple is doing it), to give gifts and make that day extra special. as a girl (yes yes, double standard intended), i am not that expected to prepare for surprises and the like. but i believe in gender sensitivity and most of the time i dont advertise double standards, and so i again would use my blog as a medium  for a post valentines day something for you :) i do believe you know what to do with this :p to the person i only see my future with,   today (or more of yesterday) is/was another day that you made me feel more than the normal love i feel on normal days. and i must thank you for the extra effort that you've put to make that day more than extra special even though it is under the pretense that we would just 'wing it' today :) i must say you have improved a lot. :p for now, you are the kind of boyfriend that i wanted t...
