segue post: Child at heart

Technically I can make a life lesson post with what I have to write now, but I am not in the best mood to write something lesson like. I would just like to post pictures of the things that I am having a hard time to let go :p

Every year I try to clean my stuff, my toys and give out or sell some including old or used clothes that I can no longer wear. This year, I literally cleaned out my closet and give out everything old. EXCEPT for the following :p

every year, whenever I do clean them, the child in me wants to play and I never fail to.. sort of play with them :p This year I tried to document these important things, which are really dear to me and share it in my blog :)

Barbie Playhouse

I was not able to set it up because it is quite big and the space left in the room is not that enough. It's a sort of tent, and honestly, it still looks brand new. :)

 Barbie House

I already lost a lot of stuff which are in here such as the bed, some flowers, but it still is usable if I want to play with it :p The barbie dolls in this picture are my oldest barbies but still very beautiful dolls. Why is barbie so beautiful?:)

 Barbie Outdoor

Hooray, it is still a complete set and still looks brand new as well :p  Barbie on the right side is Baywatch Barbie, with the 'talking' dolphin, which is still talking. hooray. :p

Barbie Car/Van

It has a car which can be detached from the 'van' which is kind of like a mobile house as well. The barbie in the car is barbie and kelly (who are supposed to be sisters, I think), and ken and tomy (which are actually my brother's but I already got them anyway) :p 

The next set of pictures are the items in my prized but very humble polly pocket collection. I am quite sad that there are no more polly pocket like this in toy stores; just when I can already save enough money to buy at least one per month to add in my collection. oh well:p

 

Hospital 

 there are babies, a doctor and a nurse. The babies are so cute. and one of them can actually be 'carried' by any polly :D 

Aladdin's Palace

It has Jasmin, the King, Genie, the tiger, Jafar, the monkey and  Aladdin although some of the pieces are missing, it still is a very beautiful polly pocket piece:) 

 Mickey Mouse House

Another Disney polly pocket. It has a complete cast of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto (the dog). The setting is a sort of birthday party, with a big gift box, and where inside should be pluto, the dog.  

 Polly's Mansion

I am such a spoiled girl that I have two Mansions; As you see, one of them is still in the box. The Mansion has a car, a carriage and four pollies :)

 Winter and Summer

This is my oldest polly pocket house. The winter house has one polly in winter clothes with one dog, while the summer house has two pollies in bikinis. :p  

 Polly Cars

The purple one is a sort of mobile car for a polly who takes care of horses, it has two horses, a white one and a brown one :) The pink one is my oldest polly pocket car and one of my favorites; it's a simple mobile house:) The sky blue one is a sort of mobile gift shop - flowers, food and ice cream - it even has a picnic table :) The van with the detachable car is a veterinary mobile clinic. 

and these are my other polly pockets which are not house-like and among the oldest as well. The gold heart is a shoulder bag-like for children who love polly pocket so much and want to use polly pocket bags, pencils, etc (but i wasn't able to use it as a shoulder bag anyway), the sun is a skating rink but where you can actually make shapes, the shooting star is also a pencil case :) 

 A sort of diva/star house.
The really polly in here has hair, and with the house comes a comb and clips for her hair. 

 Performance hall. 
The polly in here is a ballerina with a tutu!

 Polly Pool. I have always wanted to have the polly waterworld, because you can put water in it but I never had the chance to have one. This is also pretty old than the rest of my collection and I used to put water in it as well, even if it was not designed to have water in it. :p 

 A sort of garden, plantation for perfume.
 This comes with flower vases, flowers and a perfume. 

 Fairy Land. 
This is my very first polly pocket. I showed it to my friend in the neighborhood, and my then mean friend, threw it away which made me cry really really hard. It lost the screw that holds the two pieces when it was threw away by that mean friend that's why I have to hold it for it to stand. 

 These are the latest and by latest I think was Grade 4 or 5 - about 1998?

Polly Pocket Book Princess

Again, my favorite :) The little princesses are so adorable. :)

 Camera Polly Pocket

A church with a wedding. By this time, the polly pocket dolls are bigger (polly pocket now is really big unlike the cute ones).

  

Polly Phone

Again, big people both holding mobile phones. I think this was also the time when mobile phones are starting to boom. 

 Polly Pocket Pencil Case

Like the Mansion, I have two polly pocket pencil cases:p 

So there you have it, I have three layers of Childhood Memories that I always love looking back at :p

Barbie and Tweety (there was a time when my whole room was color pink (even the curtains) but all you can see everywhere are tweety bird items :p

 Polly Pocket <3 I like the Sailor Moon when only paper dolls are available :p And among them, I like Sailor Venus the most, or the small one with the pink hair - i can't remember her name. heee. 

Luto-Lutuan

Last but not the least! I remember how I can stay at home all day to play lutu-lutuan. Maybe that is the reason why I never really learned how to cook in real life. :p 

There. I'm a happy big girl with a child at heart. :p At least, if by any chance I forget any of these memories from childhood, I'd have something to look back to :p
